~secondhand, created and thrifted~

IMG_6696

Everything but the flowers and pumpkins was thrifted or secondhand.

I use thrifted canisters, kettles, and colanders as flower planters during the summer. I removed the dead petunias and bought $3 mums and decorative kale to replace them.

The upside down door/shelf, white stool, and white ladder came from a friend down the street who used to own a booth in a local antiques mall. SHE is an ultimate thrifter and has amazing style. When I grow up I want to be like her…seriously.

The red ladder was a $5 garage sale find a couple of years ago.

In the Pacific Northwest, we go through a lot of rain boots…the ones on display are some that the kids have outgrown.

The little guy and I took a trip to a local pumpkin patch on a day off from school and added the mini pumpkins and gourds.

Your outdoor fall decor does not just need to go by the front door where you rarely see it. Put a display outside of your kitchen window so you can look at it when you do dishes!

This display acts as a screen between our deck and our neighbors yard. I can see it when I look out the kitchen window, dining room window, or back door.

It makes me happy!

I LOVE this!! Not only is it an absolutely adorable display, but I like your thoughts of not just putting fall decor by the front door. The idea of putting it where it can be seen out the kitchen window while doing dishes changes everything!

I love your ideas. I am a Goodwill queen. I buy everyone in the family’s clothes there and save our family a ton of money. Thanks for the simple and inexpensive decorating ideas. 😉
