sometimes, i wish…

I love what I do.

Seriously.

But, some days it is tough. I did not imagine how tough it would be to be a mom.

Physically.

Mentally.

Emotionally.

I am so thankful for the opportunity I have to stay at home with our young children. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I am a dreamer.

I dream of what it will be like when the kids are in school, and I have hours to myself during the day. I dream of what I will do with my time. I dream of how much I will be able to do.

Personally.

Professionally.

Domestically.

It’s exciting, exhausting, and frustrating. I want to be able to do. it. all. now.

I read this article passed on to me by a local mom and multiple business owner.

Sometimes, I wish I had started a blog years ago. Sometimes, I wish I had started my own interior design business years ago. Sometimes, I wish…

But, I can’t get caught up in that.

I love what I do.

Seriously.

home is…loving what you do.

I agree that it is the toughest job and the best job… ever! Being a nurse… working nights, understaffed and under-appreciated was much easier than being Mommy. Going back to work would seriously be a break for me, yet I wouldn’t trade a minute of this precious time with my little ones! I feel quite blessed to have this opportunity. And there is nothing wrong with dreaming!!

Loving what you do and dreaming of doing more are good things! You’re in charge of your growing of course… “He who isn’ busy being born is busy dying” – Bob Dylan

Oh motherhood is tough… it’s not for the weak… it makes you strong and builds character. But it s fantastic and rewarding. I put my career on hold for 12 years. As frustrating as being a SAHM was I would not change a minute of it. I have 3 kids in school all day long. I have a couple of PT jobs and am slowing easing back towards my career plan/goals… life is good. But busy. There is still not enough time. My house is never clean enough… the kids don’t have enough time with me… I’m spread too thin… I too want it all… I too am a dreamer. I know as I work through these changes in my life and adjust to being a working mother, that I will achieve those dreams. I believe in fairy tales! Thanks for stopping by. Love your blog!

      Jessica-
      Thank you.
I truly LOVE what I do and would not want anybody else to be with my kids all day long. This is what I want to do, but some days are really tough.
I try to have fun, focus on the positive, and continue to dream. I want to teach my kids to do the same.
      Thanks for stopping by!
